Coffee Encouragement

Sylva and Siena recently met up with a fellow WashU alumna, Jenny, who started a non-profit last year called Perennial. The meeting was casual, with a lot of questions about what it’s like to be a start-up non-profit. Jenny was very enthusiastic about the MITCH Collective and offered some insightful advice. It was great to hear from someone on the inside who’s been nurturing her dream baby for the past year. Basically, it will be just as much work, if not more, than we anticipate. But Jenny’s happy disposition definitely makes it seem like it will be worth all the effort.

In other news…we’ve filed for incorporation! Siena is currently wallowing in IRS forms for the next step in the process, but we’ll get there. One step at a time.
